Sweet Earth Bakery, a fully vegan and gluten-free bakery, opened this week in Williamsburg at 112 Bedford Avenue. The bakery offers a variety of pastries, breads, and cakes made without animal products or gluten.

Owner and pastry chef Laura Chan said the bakery aims to provide options for customers with dietary restrictions without sacrificing traditional bakery flavors. The menu includes croissants, chocolate chip cookies, and layer cakes.

Williamsburg’s evolving dining scene has seen a rise in plant-based concepts. Sweet Earth Bakery joins several other specialty food shops in the neighborhood catering to health-conscious consumers.
