A new Italian restaurant, Trattoria Rosa, opened this week on Frederick Douglass Boulevard in Harlem. The menu features traditional preparations from southern Italy, with an emphasis on handmade pastas. The kitchen is led by chef Marco DiSalvo, formerly of a Brooklyn Italian restaurant. Trattoria Rosa occupies a renovated brownstone space and offers a small bar with Italian wines and aperitifs. The restaurant is open for dinner service Tuesday through Sunday.
