Prime Cut, a steakhouse located on West 45th Street, has closed its doors permanently. The restaurant, which opened in 2019, struggled to maintain steady patronage amid rising operational costs. Staff members were informed last week, and the restaurant ceased service on April 15.

Owner Michael Greene cited increased rent and supply chain challenges as factors in the decision to close. Prime Cut was known for its dry-aged beef and traditional sides but faced stiff competition in the Midtown dining scene. No immediate plans for the space have been announced.
