Pizzeria Stella, located in the Financial District, has updated its menu to feature vegan and gluten-free pizzas alongside its traditional offerings. Owner Marco Santoro decided to expand the menu after noting increasing customer requests for alternative dietary choices.
The new vegan pizzas use cashew-based cheese and a variety of vegetable toppings. Gluten-free crusts are made in-house using rice and tapioca flours. Santoro emphasized maintaining the pizzeria’s signature crust texture and sauce flavor across all versions.
Regulars have responded positively to the changes. The pizzeria continues to operate from its historic location near Wall Street, serving both local workers and tourists.
