Café Miro on the Lower East Side has rebranded as a specialty coffee and pastry shop, scaling back its previous full-service brunch and lunch offerings. The change took effect at the start of April.

The owners said the shift enables the café to concentrate resources on high-quality coffee and baked goods, responding to strong local demand. The new menu features house-roasted beans and a rotating selection of pastries from nearby bakeries.

Regular patrons noted the quieter atmosphere and streamlined service. The space remains open daily but no longer offers savory dishes. This move reflects a trend of smaller neighborhood cafés refocusing on core competencies.
