Chef Ricardo Lopez has left The Gilded Cut, a <a href="https://nycrestaurantvoice.com/midtown-steakhouse-closes-after-decade-in-business-20260418085019/">Midtown steakhouse</a>, after four <a href="https://nycrestaurantvoice.com/lina-bradford-marks-30-years-as-a-dj-in-new-yorks-queer-club-scene-20260418014051/">years</a> as executive chef. Lopez <a href="https://nycrestaurantvoice.com/nj-transit-plans-expensive-train-tickets-and-reduced-service-for-2026-world-cup--20260418014058/">plans</a> to pursue new opportunities outside New York City. The <a href="https://nycrestaurantvoice.com/chelsea-restaurant-expands-outdoor-dining-for-spring-20260418085020/">restaurant</a> has appointed sous-chef Emily Tran as interim executive chef.

The Gilded Cut stated that Tran will maintain the current menu while working on potential future updates. The steakhouse is known for its dry-aged beef and classic sides.

Management anticipates a smooth transition and will announce a permanent replacement in the coming months.
