Chef Marcus Lee plans to open a new seafood <a href="https://nycrestaurantvoice.com/italian-restaurant-landmark-reopens-amid-april-nyc-dining-arrivals-20260416210155/">restaurant</a> on the <a href="https://nycrestaurantvoice.com/lower-east-side-emerges-as-new-hub-for-vintage-fashion-amid-rising-prices-20260416210457/">Lower East Side</a> later this year. The concept, tentatively named Tide, will <a href="https://nycrestaurantvoice.com/mayor-mamdani-shifts-focus-from-sewer-socialism-to-infrastructure-repairs-20260416211632/">focus</a> on raw and lightly cooked fish dishes inspired by coastal cuisines from around the world. Lee, formerly of a noted seafood restaurant in Tribeca, said the menu will <a href="https://nycrestaurantvoice.com/reader-questions-highlight-quick-snack-spots-near-gyms-and-other-dining-details-20260417042116/">highlight</a> simplicity and freshness. The location is a former bar space on Orchard Street, currently undergoing renovations. Lee expects to open by early summer, pending permits and construction timelines.
